Sam Kong has been involved in community service in the non-profit sector since 2015. Prior to joining ACS, Sam worked as the Community Engagement Lead for a domain name registry, Dot Asia (.asia) where he organized local, regional internet governance forum for community members. He has worked extensively with different internet stakeholders to engage more newcomers to join the community. He was also a project owner of a Student Ambassador program where he organized capacity building workshops for students from universities in Hong Kong to join the journey on internet governance advocacy.
Before joining CCG as Head of Digital, Sam worked as an Assistant Program Manager for ACS’s Engage Digital Exploration Program, which is funded by the HK Jockey Club.
Sam is passionate about Social Innovation and particularly the future of education. He believes education for future talents will become increasingly crucial for this generation and he envisions a Hong Kong where young people are equipped and empowered to embrace the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
In his spare time, he volunteers for a local start-up for people and organisations with shared values who can work together for social good. Sam also enjoys movies, horology and soccer.
