CCG facilitated regular updates on the trial program’s progress and provided communication advisory proactively. The initiative also involved media and social listening for comprehensive feedback, bi-weekly status updates, and crisis scenario mapping facilitated by the Crisis Communications Guidebook (CCG). In addition, CCG held a media experience day, inviting media personnel to have first-hand experience of the program’s innovation.
Results
The successful launch of the Autonomous Vehicle Trial Program in Fairview Park included a media experience session with a HKPC spokesperson delivering key messages. This event garnered positive coverage across various channels, totaling 169 (Electronic: 11; Printed: 16; Online: 121; Social Media: 21), with a remarkable PR value of $5,641,534. The adept logistical coordination led to a smooth experience for the nearly 50 attending journalists, contributing to the program’s overall success.
